Life Size Media is working with fast-growing Finnish sensation Visedo to tell a major cleantech success story.

The cleantech comms agency, Life Size Media has begun a new PR and marketing campaign for Visedo OY, a manufacturer of state-of-the-art electric drivetrains. The Finnish company recently raised €20m to support their international expansion and chose Life Size Media to tell their story to a global audience.

Visedo’s Chief Marketing Officer Nina Harjula joined the company at the end of last year in addition to her new role as Executive Chairman of the Nordic Innovation Accelerator. Nina explains that she knew right away that she wanted to bring Life Size Media on board:

“I already knew about Life Size Media because of their reputation in cleantech. I felt that we shared the same ambition for the sector and the same understanding of the role of good storytelling and strong branding. 
 
I joined Visedo because after visiting their headquarters and speaking with the CEO Kimmo Rauma, I was convinced that this company has what it takes to be a game changer. I wanted to help them realise their vision and I believe Life Size Media are the right choice to support me in that goal”.

Visedo: “The industrial Tesla”

Work began earlier this month with an intense brand workshop at Visedo’s headquarters in Lappeenranta. Life Size Media’s CEO Alisa Murphy and PR Manager Martin Watters braved temperatures of -20 to meet key members of the team, advise on brand strategy, and see Visedo’s technology and manufacturing facilities first hand.

Alisa spoke about her belief in the company:

“Getting to know Visedo it’s clear that they can match their ambition and drive with world-leading technology and a huge addressable market. We see them as the industrial Tesla on a clear mission to accelerate electrification for heavy vehicles and machinery in the same way that Musk is doing for consumer vehicles. We’re delighted to be part of that journey”

Why electrification matters

The shift away from petroleum power is well underway. Electric vehicles are perhaps the most visible example of progress, with 200 different models forecast to be available by 2020. But we will only end our reliance on fossil fuels, and tackle the escalating problem of pollution if we have a complete transition to electric power and alternative fuels.

Visedo is making it possible to electrify heavy, industrial vehicles and equipment. It’s a market that is expected to grow rapidly to around €11 billion by 2020. The company already boasts a long list of electric-firsts from ferries to buses, has grown at an annual rate of 100% and works with clients in 19 countries across the globe.
