The challenge

Exnaton wanted to professionalise its communications so decided to hire a communications professional to realise its growth ambitions. The team needed a solid framework that would provide clarity on communications priorities and allow relevant team members to perform the operational tasks.

When Exnaton approached us with its challenges, we offered to develop a communications strategy that they could easily implement. The scope was to create a strategy that could achieve Exnaton’s goals of building its reputation, raising awareness of the company, and branding the team as experts in their field.

The solution

We began our work with an in-depth analysis and kick-off workshop. We also conducted a press review and content audit of Exnaton’s channels and analysed the communications activities of their competitors. Using this research and Exnaton’s commercial goals, we defined an overall PR approach for the year.

The second part of our actionable strategy was devising a PR and content strategy. We identified relevant channels and themes and created a content plan, including formats for six months. Finally, we used our communications expertise to support the onboarding of a new team member responsible for marketing activities. 

At the end of our collaboration, we presented Exnaton with an actionable strategy document containing our analysis, advice, and a plan for the year.

The results

Exnaton now has a sophisticated communications strategy based on data and aligned with its commercial goals. Our collaboration provided them with a clear story and positioning, a well thought-out messaging concept, a set of pitching angles, and a list of target media, all of which will help spur the company’s success. 

Importantly, this was a strategy based on insights, guided by experts. The actionable communications plan increased relevance for Exnaton’s target audience and provided a solid foundation for growth.
